\u00a0HUMAN RIGHTS DAY<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Today marks the final day of the 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence<\/strong> and it also coincides with Human Rights Day<\/strong> a powerful reminder that ending GBV is not just a campaign, it is a HUMAN RIGHTS obligation<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Why Human Rights Day?<\/strong>
On 10th December 1948, the world adopted the Universal Declaration of Human Rights (UDHR)<\/strong>, a landmark document that affirmed that every person is entitled to dignity, equality and freedom<\/em> regardless of gender, age, status or background.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u00a077 years later, we celebrate and defend those rights. It reminds us that every human has rights that are universal, inalienable, indivisible and non-negotiable<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n


W e recognize the fact that Gender-based violence is one of the clearest violations of human rights<\/strong>.
The 16 Days of Activism highlight the need to:
\u2714\ufe0f Protect survivors\u2019
\u2714\ufe0f End harmful practices
\u2714\ufe0f Promote gender equality
\u2714\ufe0f Hold perpetrators accountable
\u2714\ufe0f Strengthen community awareness and action<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As we close the 16 days of activism today, let us be reminded\u00a0 that \u00a0<\/strong>
A world free from GBV is a world where human rights are respected.<\/em>
Empowering women and girls strengthens human rights for all.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

16 days is not enough for this fight ,EVERY DAY we must continue the fight.<\/strong>
\u00a0let us refuse selective justice. Justice must be fair, timely, and for all survivors.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Let\u2019s continue this work beyond today  in our homes, communities, institutions and online spaces.
