Ms. Joy Wasirimba

She is a qualified Social Development Specialist with Sixteen (16) years of experience working on Infrastructural Projects in Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda, Rwanda and South Sudan and her strength lies in Social Impact Assessments, Gender Mainstreaming, Gender Based Violence Management, Social Risk Mitigation, Stakeholder Mapping and Analysis, Grievance Redress Mechanism, Resettlement Action Planning and Livelihood Restoration. She has vast experience working for projects funded by the World Bank, IFC, ADB, JICA, KfW and the Government of Kenya.
 
She has a Masters Degree in Community Development, MBA (project Management) and BA in Social Work and Social Administration, currently undertaking PhD in Gender and Development Studies. Joy is fluent in English and Swahili (written and verbal).
 
Joy sits on 6 organizational Board and offers technical advice in her line including: Secure Success Organization, Vesom Consulting, Hinike International, Mobiklinic among others.


Mr. Mukolwe Alubokho Patrick

He holds a BSc in Quantitative Economics from Makerere University, with expertise in economic planning, policy development and strategy implementation for gender mainstreaming, children, youth, persons with disability, elderly and marginalized communities. He optimizes program outcomes through resource mobilization, data-driven decision-making and stakeholder engagement, complemented by advocacy, lobbying and community outreaches to achieve impactful results in community development.


Eve Sebby
Director- at Baridi in charge of Programs


She serves as a Senior Clerk Assistant in the County Assembly of Mombasa where she co-ordinates operations in the following sectors of the Assembly – Procedural Research, Committees services, Legislative proposals, Commissioning of Oath and Administration.
As a Clerk Assistant, she also serves in the Committee on Labout and Public Administration, Youth Gender Sports and Social Services, and Committee on Blue Economy Agriculture Fisheries and Livestock
She is the C.E.O. of the Mombasa County Assembly Society i.e. Women Caucus. Whose main purpose is to provide peer support to foster gender equality legislative and policy agendas. As Secretariat of Women Caucus, she engages in a wide range of activities, including gathering data, conducting research, creating partnerships with allies within and outside the Assembly, facilitating public discussions, raising awareness of key issues, promoting civic education, and learning from experiences in other Counties and Countries.
Besides this, she contacts training & lectures Members Of County Assembly and Officers, County Executive Committee Members and County administrators on policy and procedural matters at Kenya School of Government.
She has also worked with FIDA, OXFAM and Action Aid to train Female Members of County Assembly coastal region on Gender Responsive Budgeting and Gender Mainstreaming.
Eve Sebby previously worked with Compassion International Assisted Project (KE500) as a Project Director, a Christian Based, child centered International NGO.
She was awarded as a Child Labour Champion by the UN -International Labour Organization

Mrs. Martha Oyiera
Director- at Baridi in charge of Programs

She is a seasoned human resources and organizational development professional with over 20 years of experience working across international development, philanthropy, and non-profit organizations in Africa. She currently serves as a senior HR leader with the Rockefeller Foundation in Kenya, where she supports regional and global teams on people strategy, talent management, organizational design, performance management, and workforce planning across multiple jurisdictions.
 
Her professional background spans leading organizations including the Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation, Oxfam GB, and Maersk Line, where she has played a pivotal role in strengthening institutional systems, building high-performing teams, and aligning people practices with mission-driven impact.
 
Martha holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics and Sociology and a Postgraduate Diploma in Human Resource Management, providing a strong academic foundation for her work in people and organizational systems.
 
Beyond her professional role, Martha is actively involved in community development and governance, supporting women-led organizations and grassroots initiatives in Kenya. She is deeply passionate about inclusive leadership, capacity building, and the development of systems that enable long-term social and economic transformation at the community level.

Coming from a background of Social work and community development boasts of a vast experience spanning over 20 years working with women and children.Starting as a volunteer at CLARION(Centre for law and Research international),pioneered the formation of HACSON(Hamisi civil society organization network). That had a presence in all the locations of Hamisi constituency in Vihiga County.Her knowledge and work in the grassroots saw her elected to be a co convener of the then Jukwa La Katiba,offering civic knowledge on the constitution stressing out issues that involved women,children,land and their rights.With Winrock International she was a Master of Trainers of Youth and went ahead and formed and trained over 10 youth organizations under the Yes Youth Can! Project.
Her knowledge on gender issues has her as a facilitator training for different organizations,founding Baridi kwa Baridi women CBO was initially to handle GBV issues that were rampant in Busia County..but then went full throttle to deal with Women and their issues in toto.
She is also a survivor of Child domestic work( a form of modern day slavery) and therefore child protection is at the core of her heart . She is also the Coordinator of SuN-CSA(Scaling up Nutrition- civil society alliance)Busia chapter,amongst the many leadership roles she serves at the county level.
She currently sits on several other Boards,among them KAACR and Budokomi Senior School.
Worth mentioning She is also the current UN Women Peace representative for Busia County and has several projects running to promote peace and cohesiveness and combating violent extremism and radicalization.
