Women Empowerment

WWL: Women, Water, and Leadership Project
The WWL Project is a transformative initiative aimed at empowering women through sustainable access to resources, entrepreneurship, and leadership development. The key areas of focus include:


Water Access & Purification
Provision of water tanks to improve household water storage
Water purification using locally available materials for safer consumption


Agricultural Support
Distribution of seeds, farm tools, and equipment to boost food production
Establishment of kitchen gardens and utensil stands for improved nutrition and hygiene


Economic Empowerment
Financial literacy training and entrepreneurship development
Support and formation of Table Banking and SILC (Savings and Internal Lending Communities) groups, including:

Nguzo Yetu KK
Neema Group
Mundika Girls
Lwanya 1 & 2

This project fosters resilience, self-sufficiency, and community leadership among women, enabling them to thrive economically and socially.

Child Protection


NIA: Not Invisible Anymore Project
The NIA (Not Invisible Anymore) Project is a child protection initiative focused on ending the exploitation of child domestic workers by offering sustainable, life-changing alternatives. The project empowers vulnerable children and youth by providing access to skills and support systems that promote independence, dignity, and long-term well-being.

Psycho-Social Support:

Peace and Security


a) BRACE 1 & 2 Project
(Building Resilience of Active Communities of Empowered Women)
Location: Matayos Sub-county
The BRACE Projects aim to strengthen peace and security by empowering women to become key agents of resilience and stability in their communities. Through capacity-building and grassroots engagement, BRACE fosters inclusive, community-led solutions to conflict and insecurity.

b) UN Women Peace Committee Initiatives
A series of collaborative peacebuilding activities spearheaded by women leaders and community members:
Annual Peace Walks
Public events to raise awareness and promote harmony among diverse communities.
Alternative Justice System (AJS)
Community-based mechanisms that offer accessible, restorative, and culturally relevant justice.
Peace and Mediation Efforts
Facilitating dialogue and resolving conflicts through trained mediators and local peace champions.
These initiatives promote sustainable peace by recognizing and elevating the crucial role of women in conflict resolution and social cohesion.
